Prism Solar DUO – (out of production)

Prism double version, with two outputs up to 7.4kW each, to be used with a single-phase or with a three-phase meter. In the case of a single-phase meter, the available power is divided between the two outputs, up to a maximum of 7.4kW as the sum of the two outputs. Connected to a three-phase meter, it allows up to 7.4kW for each one of the outputs:

  • It is suitable for any single-phase meter or three-phase meter of any power
  • It automatically regulates the consumption to avoid disconnection from the grid (blackouts at home)
  • Prism recharges your electric car using the excess power produced by your solar panels
  • It works well with an energy storage system, such as a Powerwall
  • It is directly connected to the internet via Wi-Fi or Ethernet (connecting it to your house router with a wire)
  • It can be managed using a smartphone, a computer and/or the cloud
  • It is equipped with RFID reader and with two RFID keys
  • It is supplied with a Type2 connector cables (the standard in Europe)
  • It supplied with two cable supports
  • It is supplied with three load-balancing sensors

This product is currently out of stock and unavailable.

Prism Solar three-phase shares the same basic characteristics with the other Prism products. The models differ in the type of power they supply (single-phase or three-phase) and in the number of available outputs (e.g. how many cars can be recharged with one Prism at the same time).

Prism Solar DUO – technical features:

It is equipped with two outputs for charging simultaneously two electric cars.
Each of the two outputs can deliver up to 7.4kW depending on the power system managed by the electric-meter. Prism Solar DUO installed in a single-phase system delivers a maximum of 7.4kW as the sum of the power supplied by the two outputs. When installed in a three-phase system, it can supply up to 7.4kW for each of the two outputs.

It is suitable for any single-phase meter or three-phase meter of any power.
This means that it can also be connected to electric meters with lower power, so it will still allow the management of the charge of two electric cars even if, only up to the maximum power supplied by the meter. But if you decide to boost the power of the electric-meter, your Prism Solar will already be able to handle the new amount of power.

It automatically regulates the consumption to avoid disconnection from the grid (blackouts at home).
Regardless of the electric-meter installed, Prism Solar DUO automatically regulates the power provided to the car, measuring the energy absorbed by the rest of the house. In this way, the electric-meter does not have to intervene because of overloads caused by the charge of your electric car. Prism will never leave you without electricity at home. Prism Solar DUO includes also three sensors for load balancing.

It uses the energy produced by a solar system to recharge the car.
If you have a photovoltaic system you already know that the energy that it produces in excess is sent to the electricity grid. Prism Solar DUO can detect this surplus production and use it to charge your car instead of giving it away to the grid.

It is equipped with a 5mt Type2 connector cable.
Type 2 connectors are the standard in Europe. Meaning: no compatibility problems;

It can be managed with a smartphone, a computer and/or the cloud.
Prism Solar DUO has to be connected to the internet via Ethernet cable or Wi-Fi (if the Wi-Fi signal can reach the space where Prism is installed). And even if Prism cannot be connected to the internet, it is always possible to configure it and use to its internal Wi-Fi.

It works as a Hotspot for the Wi-Fi network.
It is possible to use Prism as a Hotspot when Prism is connected to the internet via Wi-Fi or Ethernet cable. It is useful to update the firmware of the car while it is recharging.

It is already equipped with a RCM (Residual Current Monitor).
It is not necessary to add a protection for AC / DC current while installing Prism Solar DUO since it already has it. It ensures maximum safety and minimizes installation costs.

It is supplied with two cable supports.
Even though Prism is built to support the cable directly on its casing, two wall holders for the plugs and cables are also supplied with Prism DUO, to make DUO even more practical.
