{"id":21392,"date":"2025-09-01T16:09:36","date_gmt":"2025-09-01T14:09:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/silla.industries\/docs\/prism-howto-smart-meter-guida-installazione-ed-uso\/"},"modified":"2025-09-12T15:17:53","modified_gmt":"2025-09-12T13:17:53","password":"","slug":"prism-howto-smart-meter-guida-installazione-ed-uso","status":"publish","type":"docs","link":"https:\/\/silla.industries\/en\/docs\/prism-howto-smart-meter-guida-installazione-ed-uso\/","title":{"rendered":"Smart Meter &#8211; Installation and User Guide"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Introduction<\/h2>\n\n<p>Smart Meter [SMAME] is the device that enables three-phase products to measure the consumption of the electrical system.<\/p>\n\n<p>SMAME is critical in allowing three-phase Prism Solar to handle <strong>load balancing-that<\/strong> is, to automatically adjust charging power so as not to have the meter disconnected or to charge only with PV-generated energy that would otherwise be fed into the grid.<\/p>\n\n<p>Smart Meter measures system consumption thanks to its sensors, called TAs (Current Transformers, which are nothing more than clamps that must be opened and closed around the electrical wires on which you want to measure consumption.<\/p>\n\n<p>The Smart Meter is compatible with two types of sensors:<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table><tbody><tr><td><strong>Version<\/strong><\/td><td><strong>Max Current (per phase)<\/strong><\/td><td><strong>Maximum cable diameter<\/strong><\/td><td><strong>Supply<\/strong><\/td><\/tr><tr><td>SENS100<\/td><td>100 A<\/td><td>25 mm<\/td><td>Included with all three-phase Prisms<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>SENS1000<\/td><td>1000 A<\/td><td>50 mm<\/td><td>Accessory*<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n<p>* SENS1000 are available for purchase in our <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/silla.industries\/set-di-sensori-1000a\/\">online shop<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<div class=\"note\">\nAll <b>single-phase Prisms do not need the Smart Meter<\/b>; the SENS100 supplied as standard should be connected directly to Prism. For more information follow the Installation Manual supplied with Prism. \n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"warning\">\nThis guide is for Smart Meter configuration only. For all other Prism configurations and features, please refer to the <a href=\"https:\/\/silla.industries\/docs\/prism-howto-configurazione-guidata\/#\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b>online documentation<\/b><\/a>. \n<\/div>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Installation<\/h2>\n\n<p>Refer to the Installation Manual provided with Prism for Smart Meter installation.<\/p>\n\n<div class=\"warning\">\nIn case of Cluster installation, it is necessary to connect the Smart Meter only to the Primary Prism; refer to the <a href=\"https:\/\/silla.industries\/docs\/prism-howto-cluster\/\" _blank=\"\" rel=\"noopener\"><b>Cluster Installation and Configuration Guide<\/b><\/a> for more information\n<\/div>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Configuration<\/h2>\n\n<p>Prerequisites:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A PC or Smartphone with which to do the configuration.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Installation manual supplied with Prism (*).\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The manual contains the credentials needed to connect and access Prism.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>How to configure the Smart Meter:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Follow the instructions to <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/silla.industries\/docs\/prism-howto-come-connettersi-al-wi-fi-di-prism\/\">Connect to the Local Dashboard<\/a><\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Access the <a href=\"https:\/\/silla.industries\/docs\/prism-howto-configurazione-guidata\/\"><strong>Configuration Wizard<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Configure the required plant parameters.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<div class=\"warning\">\nIf the parameters are not correct, Prism load balancing will not be able to work!\n<\/div>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In the &#8220;Sensor downstream of the meter&#8221; section, select the type of sensor installed:<br\/><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"654\" height=\"495\" class=\"wp-image-15950\" style=\"width: 600px;margin-top:15px;\" src=\"https:\/\/silla.industries\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/IMG-Switch_sensori.gif\" alt=\"Sensor switches\"\/><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Verify that the reading presented by Prism matches that of the [Pot.
