{"id":19618,"date":"2021-07-15T07:43:20","date_gmt":"2021-07-15T05:43:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/silla.industries\/connettori-di-ricarica-per-auto-elettriche\/"},"modified":"2025-07-01T21:53:03","modified_gmt":"2025-07-01T19:53:03","slug":"connettori-di-ricarica-per-auto-elettriche","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/silla.industries\/en\/connettori-di-ricarica-per-auto-elettriche\/","title":{"rendered":"Charging Connectors for Electric Cars"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<p class=\"has-drop-cap\">As for AC current, there are four AC current charging connectors-Mode 2 and Mode 3:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\" id=\"mennekes\"><li>Type 1 Yazaki<\/li><li>Type 2 Mennekes<\/li><li>Type 3A<\/li><li>Type 3C Scame<\/li><\/ul>\n\n<p>In contrast, DC charging connectors, are<a href=\"http:\/\/CHAdeMO\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"CHAdeMO\"> <\/a>CHAdeMo and CCS Combo 2.<\/p>\n\n<p>There are three types of connectors for electric vehicle charging in IEC 62196-2: Type 1, Type 2 and Type 3 (Type 3A and Type 3C).<\/p>\n\n<p>The main difference between the Type 2 and Type 3 connector is the presence of protection devices against accidental contact of live parts (IPXXD) on all system components: socket and plug.<\/p>\n\n<p> <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-heading\">CONNECTOR GUIDE &#8211; ALTERNATING CURRENT (AC)<\/h2>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"Yazaki\">TYPE 1<br\/>(Yazaki) SAE J1772-2009<\/h3>\n\n<p>The Type 1 connector has 5 contacts:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>3 power contacts: L1, N, PE<\/li><li>2 communication contacts:<br\/>PP (proximity)<br\/>CP (pilot control)<\/li><\/ul>\n\n<p>The Type 1 connector is the North American<br\/>and Japanese standard, but is very common on<br\/>vehicles (it is not usually installed on board<br\/>charging stations). This<br\/>connector can be used for both single-phase and three-phase<br\/>charging. <\/p>\n\n<p>In addition, this connector is the one that comes with any of our Prism Electric Vehicle wp-block-heading\">CONNECTOR GUIDE &#8211; DIRECT CURRENT (DC)  <\/h2>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"CCS-Combo2\">CCS Combo2  <\/h3>\n\n<p>The CCS (Combined Charging System) standard consists of a single<br\/>charging connector on the electric vehicle, which allows both fast<br\/>charging in direct current (DC) and slow charging in alternating current (AC).<br\/>In Europe, CCS is made from the Type 2 connector, so the<br\/>system is named Combo2.<\/p>\n\n<p>This system is now adopted by a number of European automakers<br\/>(e.g., BMW and Volkswagen) and is gradually being deployed on class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>CHAdeMO for Fast DC recharges.<\/li><li>AC charging connector (normally Type 1)<\/li><\/ul>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\"
