The differences between dynamic and static management  <\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>In the electric vehicle charging industry, there are <strong>two main ways to manage loads:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Static Load Management (SLM)<br \/><\/strong>Distributes power in a fixed and uniform manner among all connected <a href=\"https:\/\/silla.industries\/scegliere-migliore-wallbox-2025\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">wallboxes<\/a>.<br \/>It is a <strong>simple but inflexible solution<\/strong>, suitable only for small installations with stable and predictable consumption.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Dynamic Load Management (DLM)<br \/>The DLM is an advanced system that monitors total system consumption<\/strong>, including appliances and other non-controllable loads (heat pump, furnace, washing machine, lighting, air conditioning) <strong>in real time<\/strong>. Based on this data, <strong>the wallbox automatically adjusts the charging power: it can reduce it, suspend it temporarily and resume it<\/strong> when there is availability. At an enterprise site, for example, DLM can enable the installation of five times more charging points than static management. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Cost savings:<\/strong> avoids exceeding contract limits, reducing the need to increase meter power and preventing extra charges.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Optimized user experience: <\/strong>every driver is assured of getting the charging they need safely and continuously, without worrying about what is on in their home or office.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How DLM works technically<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>Dynamic Load Management requires a <strong>consumption metering system<\/strong> installed in the switchboard or connected directly to the meter via the <strong>Chain2 protocol.<\/strong> In single-phase systems, an <strong>ammeter sensor<\/strong> is used.
