The Ministry’s last window for receiving applications for the 2023 Home Charging Station Bonus was last fall. It was aimed at all those who had purchased and installed a charging column between January 1, 2023 and November 23, 2023.

Don’t worry, if you purchased a charging station in December 2023 or failed to submit your application in time, you won’t lose your incentive! However, time to apply is once again limited, so hurry!

On 7/2/2024, the Directorial Decree was issued that allows those who have purchased and installed a charging station (for the duration of 2023), to apply for and receive the much-desired domestic charging station bonus, the subsidy that covers80 percent of the purchase and installation price of electric vehicle charging infrastructure.

How to apply for the subsidy for columns purchased in 2023

Here’s what the procedure is for Applying for the 2023 Home Column Bonus

In order to obtain the home column bonus, stakeholders must follow a specific procedure, as stated in the official Decree. Here are the rules to follow:

Timeline: applications for grant and disbursement can be submitted by applicants from 12:00 noon on February 15, 2024 until 12:00 noon on March 14, 2024.
Electronic Completion: applications must be completed electronically only, using the computer platform available online. Be sure to enter all required information and attach the application form and necessary documentation.
Certified E-mail Address (CEM): in order to successfully submit the application, applicants must have a certified e-mail address.
Ineligibility: under penalty of ineligibility, it is essential to fully complete the application form and attach all required documents.

Iter for submitting the application on the Invitalia digital platform:

To finalize the application submission, it is necessary to refer to the digital platform Invitalia made available. The steps to follow are as follows:

Access: applicants will need to access Invitalia’s new Personal Area via public digital identity system (SPID), electronic identity card (CIE) or national services card (CNS) .
Compilation: the information required for completing the application should be entered.
Form Generation: the platform generates the application form in unmodifiable “pdf” format, containing all the information provided by the applicant.
Upload and Predisposition Code: the application form and required attachments should be uploaded. This yields the “application preparation code” required for submission.
Attestation of Successful Submission: the platform issues an attestation of successful submission of the application in an unalterable “pdf” format, indicating the date and time it was submitted electronically.

From February 15, 2024, to March 14, 2024, it is possible to submit the application for the grant related to the 2023 home column bonus

Still some doubts? Here we try to answer some of the questions that may have arisen, after the Decree was issued.

What data and documents are required for condominiums to apply for the home column bonus grant?

The 2023 home column bonus also targeted condominiums. The latter, in order to apply, will have to submit:

– tax code of the condominium and details of the identity document of the administrator pro tempore with a declaration by the latter that he/she meets the legal requirements of Article 71-bis of the“Provisions for the implementation of the Civil Code and transitional provisions” or of the delegated condominium owner for condominiums with up to 8 participants, in the case of installation on the common parts of condominium buildings;

– meeting resolution authorizing work on the common parts referred to in Articles 1117 and 1117-bis of the Civil Code with a declaration by the administrator that such a resolution has not been challenged within the time limit referred to in Article 1137 of the Civil Code;

– Copies of electronic invoices for the purchase and installation of charging infrastructure;

– bank account statements showing payments associated with electronic invoices for the purchase and installation of charging infrastructure;

– Payments for the expenditure titles applied for must be made through a current account in the name of the grantee and exclusively by means of bank transfers or by SEPA Credit Transfer, or by credit or debit card in the name of the grantee;

– Final report on the investment made and related expenses incurred;

– appropriate certificate of compliance issued by an installer, certifying that the infrastructure has been installed;

– The details of the bank account to which to apply for credit of the contribution.

What is the Final Report regarding the investment made and related expenses incurred? By whom should it be prepared and signed?

The Final Report is the document indicating the references of the expenses incurred for the purchase and installation of the charging infrastructure. It must be prepared and signed by the applicant and attached, under penalty of ineligibility, at the time of application submission.

How soon do you receive the contribution?

Within ninety days from the closing date of the window, the Ministry of Enterprise and Made in Italy will issue the decree granting and disbursement of contributions, in accordance with the chronological order of receipt of applications. Subsequently, the crediting of the contribution to the current account of the beneficiary subjects will be made. The contribution granted to each beneficiary subject shall be disbursed in one lump sum.

If I purchased but did not install the column, can I still claim the incentive?

No. The grant is for purchase and installation; purchase alone is not sufficient to apply for the grant.
