The Ministry of Environment and Energy Security has officially kicked off the second edition of the Pillar Bonus for Businesses and Professionals.
Last March 7, in fact, the MASE issued ministerial decrees regulating the state incentive that supports the purchase and installation of electric vehicle charging infrastructure by businesses and professionals, amounting to 40 percent of eligible expenses.
After the first opening of the window, in fact, more than 70 million euros are still available.
However, time to advance the application is limited.
Who is the column bonus aimed at?
- Companies of any size: operating in all sectors and throughout Italy, provided they meet the requirements of the relevant regulations.
- Professionals: professionals are also eligible for the bonus, provided they meet the requirements set by the relevant regulations.
Eligible Expenses for Bonus Columns for Businesses and Professionals
Eligible expenses are those incurred after November 4, 2021, net of VAT, and subject to electronic invoicing for the purchase and installation of charging infrastructure, including expenses for the installation of charging stations, electrical systems, strictly necessary construction works, and monitoring equipment and devices.
However, the Directorial Decree places economic limits on both each individual company or professional and each “charging infrastructure” or individual “charging device” (i.e., column or wallbox).

As “charging infrastructure” the decree means. The set of structures, works and facilities necessary for the creation of parking areas equipped with one or more electric vehicle charging points. Specifically, the “charging infrastructure” is composed of one or more “charging devices” and related electrical interconnections.
The following maximum specific eligible costs are considered for “charging devices”:
- wallbox with a single charging point: €2,500 per individual device;
- Columns with two charging points: €8,000 per single column.
These spending limits make the entire Prism range, available in our online shop, very attractive.
The decree also stipulates that charging devices, if AC, must be between 7.4 kW and 22kW inclusive. Note: Different spending limits are also provided for DC, direct current charging devices.
