Industrial design of an electric charging wallbox awarded for the first time
Padua, June 27, 2022 – For Repower, the XXVII edition of the Compasso d’Oro Award was a true triumph, awarded to the LAMBROgio and LAMBROgino pedal-assisted cargo bikes, to which was added the Honorable Mention for GIOTTO, the electric vehicle charging tool designed and manufactured exclusively by Silla Industries for the Swiss energy group, Italy’s leading provider of services to the SME world in our country.
Designed by studio Makio Hasuike & Co, GIOTTO is the charging wallbox for electric mobility designed and built by the R&D division of Silla Industries.
Starting from Repower’s challenging requirements on quality, reliability and technical features, the R&D team of the Padua-based start-up, led by Cristiano Griletti-who, with Alberto Stecca, CEO, founded Silla Industries-has entirely developed, designed and built GIOTTO as the best answer to electric charging, business and home: an intelligent system, capable of dialoguing with all electrical systems, from photovoltaic to consumer load management. Completely Made in Italy, GIOTTO offers, in addition to the elegance of the shapes, also a highly innovative packaging, attentive to the environment and the recovery of materials.
“We are proud to have contributed to the success of an object like GIOTTO,” comments Cristiano Griletti. “The technical characteristics of the product, in their complexity, have been simplified into an instrument with flowing, elegant lines that are perfectly responsive to any type of functionality required. This is a great recognition for us, no less great than the trust Repower has placed in us as an Italian startup.”
“Receiving a Compasso d’Oro and an Honorable Mention-though not the first ones-represents confirmation of the right direction Repower took more than a decade ago also in the world of electric mobility,” says Luca Poggiali, Technical Hub Director of Repower Italy. “Innovation and Design, Team from Complementary Experiences, Desire to Discover and Culture of Customer Service are the mix of elements that underpin each of our products and that have also been at the heart of the successful collaboration with Silla Industries and the Makio Hasuike & Co. studio.”
