State incentives are confirmed!
It is often said that good things take time, and we, electric motorists, know this well! Even this time, however, the wait seems to be almost over.
In fact, in the same days that state incentives intended for the purchase of 100% electric-powered cars were running out, MIMIT confirmed the 2024 home column bonus in its June 13 Decree.
Beware, however, it is no coincidence that we said the wait is almost over; the start dates for booking grants will be announced in a subsequent notice.
What does the MIMIT Decree provide for?
Here, in summary, is the information contained in the released Decree:
- Amount of the contribution: the Ministry will have the possibility to grant a contribution equal to 80% of the purchase and installation price, up to a maximum limit of €1500 per individual applicant. In case of installation on the common parts of condominium buildings, the maximum limit that can be granted is raised to €8000. Please note: the grant cannot be combined with other facilities.
- Eligible expenses: For the current year, expenses incurred from January 1, 2024, to December 31, 2024, will be eligible; they will cover the purchase of the charging infrastructure and its installation, to be carried out in a workmanlike manner.
In detail, these expenses will cover:
- The purchase and installation of charging infrastructure (including expenses for the installation of charging stations, electrical systems, strictly necessary construction work, and monitoring equipment and devices);
- Expenses for design, construction management, safety and testing;
- costs of connecting to the power grid, through activation of a new POD (point of delivery).
All well and good, but-when can applications be submitted and how?
To recap, the 2024 home column bonus has been super-confirmed, just as we hoped for a few months ago.However, as of yet, neither the actual start date nor how to apply for it have been announced.
