For you, Prism comes in 3! Solar, Normal and Night the 3 charging modes available
We bring to life products that we ourselves would like to buy and use as customers. This vocation of ours becomes a reality when, for each individual product, we propose a range of usage options.
In the case of the Prism Solar electric car charging station, Silla Industries puts in your hands a charger that can adapt to your usage needs and habits, providing you with 3 different charging modes:

Solar mode
How to use the excess energy from the photovoltaic system? By charging the electric car for free, for example! It’s spelled self-consumption, it’s read savings!
This charging mode is ideal for you who are always looking to make a difference and want to get the most out of your solar system.
When can it be used?
You can turn it on in the daytime, while the PV system is running, a part of the energy is allocated to the house and another part is available in surplus.
The latter is usually sold to the power grid and is often remunerated very little.
When is it ideal?
When you want to completely exclude from charging the energy that comes from the meter. Since this is a mode that does NOT draw energy from the grid but only sources energy produced by the photovoltaic system, Solar mode is ideal on very sunny days or when you are not in a particular hurry to charge, board the car and drive off.
Remember, however, that if surplus energy produced by PV is no longer available, charging stops.
Its plus is:
By using Solar mode, the surplus energy produced by PV is not given to the grid but is available to you for recharging. Therefore, last but not least plus: you recharge your car–for free!
Are you wondering if, even though you don’t have Photovoltaics yet, you can still use Prism Solar? We answer that question in this article.
Normal Mode
The mode you can activate at any time (day or night) regardless of the weather condition and allows you to recharge your car by taking energy from the grid or photovoltaics.
When can it be used?
Always.
When is it ideal?
When your priority is to recharge your insured car even if it means saving less than in Solar mode because Normal operates through a mix of use between solar energy and energy drawn from the grid, at your operator’s rate.
Its plus is:
Thanks to the “load balancing” function set during the Prism configuration wizard phase, you recharge your car by taking from the grid but do not run the risk of the meter jumping.
Night Mode

Mode for recharging at times when energy is cheaper such as at night or on holidays.
When can it be used?
When you want to load the car at a specific time or moment.
When is it ideal?
When by habits of use you are used to recharging the car overnight to have it ready in the morning or you use the car less on weekends and therefore take the opportunity to recharge.
Its plus is:
Imagine coming home from work, never having to use your car again, and especially never wanting to go to the garage to activate the charge. With Night Prism mode, it starts working when you have decided. Activate Night mode by specifying a specific time slot (e.g. 23:00 to 07:00) during the week, generic during holidays.
Now you know how many ways you can charge your car with Prism and how to consciously choose the mode that best suits your needs at the moment from Solar, Normal and Night.
