Installing a charging column by Nov. 23, 2023, is the main condition for claiming a bonus equal to 80 percent of the amount spent on the column and installation, subject to the limits indicated below.
In early October, the Ministry of Enterprise and Made in Italy issued the implementing decrees for the disbursement of domestic column bonuses for both 2022 and 2023.
The bonus application deadline for the installation of a charging station carried out in 2022 closed on Nov. 2, 2023, while at this time applications are open for interventions carried out from Jan. 1 to Nov. 23, 2023, which is also the deadline for submitting the application.
Forty million euros may seem small, but considering that the bonus has a limit of €1,500 per individual installation and €8,000 for condominium installations, we are still talking about more than 25,000 columns.
So the chance of getting the bonus is quite high, but it is prudent to prepare everything necessary in advance in order to apply for the bonus.

When does the 2023 electric column bonus start?
Here you can find the directorial decrees implementing the benefits intended for the purchase and installation of electric vehicle charging stations, aimed at both individuals and condominiums.
The application of this measure includes two separate application periods:
- The first period runs from October 19 to November 2, 2023 and is for installations made between October 4 and December 31, 2022 [BONUS TERMINATED].
- The second period begins at 12:00 noon on November 9 and ends at 12:00 noon on November 23, 2023, covering installations that occurred between January 1 and November 23, 2023.
The purchase of the charging station
First of all, it is clearly necessary to make sure that you have a charging station in time: we ship 3 days after payment has been made, in fact Prism’s charging stations are ready for delivery, and you can choose between Prism Basic or the more complete Prism Solar, both of which are eligible for the charging station bonus.
The installation of a charging station, including site survey
The most practical and functional solution is to contact your trusted electrician, who may be the same one who did your home’s electrical system and knows how to expand it with a charging column. However, an electrician is not always available or perhaps too busy with other work. In this case we can come to your aid through one of our partners, installers accustomed to installing Prism in both home and work environments.

The preparation of documentation
On Invitalia’s website, under question B.6, there is a list of documents that are needed to submit the application; electronic invoices for column and installation can be downloaded from one’s tax drawer or requested from one’s accountant.
Of course, a Declaration of Conformity issued by the electrician who carried out the installation of a charging station will also be required, and is always included in installations made by our partners.
In addition to the documents above you will also need a SPID (or CIE, or CNS) to be able to access the restricted area on Invitalia where you can apply, and also a PEC address. This is mandatory in order to apply for the bonus; those without one can contact one of the government-authorized PEC providers.
The purchase and installation of a charging station not only increases the value of the property by immediately equipping it with something that will become a de facto necessity in the coming years as e-mobility takes hold, but what is presented today is an opportunity that is likely to become unrepeatable.
