Update October 21, 2022:
After the publication in the Official Gazette of the Prime Minister’s Decree of August 4, 2022, which “made official” what was also reported in this article of ours, on October 21 the procedures for obtaining the new incentives for the purchase of electric cars were published on the MISE website, in fact referring to the ecobonus.mise.gov.it website as of November 2, 2022. That’s as far as incentives for vehicle purchases are concerned, good. Great!
What about the incentives outlined in the Decree for the purchase and installation of charging stations?
Nothing. Nothing. Not even a mention.
We trust that this delay in issuing the implementing regulations is only due to the change of government and that the new government will remedy this oversight as soon as possible, for now all we can do is wait and follow developments closely.
See you soon!
Update October 5, 2022:
has finally been published in the Official Gazette the Prime Ministerial Decree of August 4, 2022, which “formalizes” what has already been reported on the MISE website and also in this article.
Unfortunately, the rules for the application and implementation of the incentive are not yet available, which the decree itself refers to subsequent“directorial decrees of the Ministry of Economic Development.”
So we can only wait a little longer, we suggest you use the form at the bottom of this page to subscribe to the newsletter that we will use to inform you of the actual start of the incentive.

Metaphorically speaking, 2021 had ended with a cold shower for all those who intended, with the arrival of the new year, to switch to an electric car by accompanying their purchase with the installation of a home column.
In January, in fact, the government had not extended the 50 percent tax credit for those installing electric vehicle charging stations. Consequently, the possibility, on the part of the offer, to provide buyers with the discount on the invoice in exchange for the transfer of the credit had vanished.

A decision that undoubtedly disregarded the expectations of those who were aiming at these facilities to set up a convenient and affordable charging station for their electric car at home. What is more, this non-extension was part of a context in which the demand for an increasingly electrified system should be supported and not disincentivized.
We have had confirmation of this in the following months given the high number of inquiries from motorists interested in purchasing Prism, Solar or Basic, taking advantage of government grants no longer available.
Since then, we have had no further elucidation on the matter, and as the only form of support for the purchase of the column had remained exclusively the 110% Superbonus, a framework in which Prism Basic fits perfectly as a towed intervention.
However, last week the Ministry of Economic Development made public the approval of the proposed reinstatement of increased incentives for buying a non-polluting car and interesting news for those who want to install a wall box at home.
Incentives return for those who purchase the charging station!

What are the 2022 incentives for charging stations?
Official information explaining how to access and apply for these benefits will come in a director’s decree from the Ministry. In the meantime, however, we can anticipate that the intervention will cover 80 percent of the purchase and installation price and can be requested by both individuals and condominiums. From the official source for now it seems that, speaking of figures, The available fund will be 40 million euros in total, while the bonus will cover the maximum limit of 1,500 euros per private applicant and 8,000 in case of installation on the common parts of condominium buildings.
Which Prism will you choose to make a convenient and always-available charging station in your home? In the meantime, you could learn more about the comparison between Basic and Solar by reading this article.
