Prism Basic

Prism BASIC is the electric vehicle charging station designed for the 110% Superbonus in energy efficiency interventions.

The plug & play product for the construction world

Simple to use, but most importantly simple to install

Prism Basic is designed and built to minimize installation time, thus ensuring cost-effectiveness.

Security included in the price

Prism Basic already includes a type B RCD (20mA AC, 6mA DC) so there is no need to install an additional type B differential.

However, the power line to Prism Basic must always be protected, as with any other electrical installation, according to current regulations.

Load balancing? Including

Prism Basic comes with the current clamp, i.e., the sensor to be installed at the meter, to manage car charging based on home consumption and thus avoid black-outs due to excess absorption.

And the cable holder is integrated

There is no need to install an external cable holder, adding cost and installation time. Prism Basic is designed and manufactured to wrap the charging cable around the casing of Prism Basic itself, so the cable does not touch the ground but is always within reach. And a special groove holds the cable in the correct position.

Upgradeable even after installation

Prism Basic offers, albeit with a low initial investment, all the functions necessary for charging an electric car, such as charging power up to 7.4kW, internal protection with an RCM, and balancing home loads.

And should the need for more advanced features and performance arise, upgrading to Prism Solar will always be possible simply by purchasing the Smart Cover to easily replace the standard front cover.

After-market upgrade

In fact, at later times it is possible, by purchasing just the front Smart Cover to upgrade a Prism Basic to Prism Solar, to obtain all the features of the top-of-the-line version. With a reduced initial investment, the possibility of upgrading and expansion is still guaranteed.

quick and easy replacement of the front cover

First-rate technical features, guaranteeing the quality of the installation

  • Single-phase power supply at 230V AC – 50/60 Hz, current consumption max 32A
  • Charging power delivered: up to 7.4 kW, also depends on the meter under which Prism Basic is installed
  • Integrated charging cable, length 5 meters
  • Type 2 charging connector (the standard in Europe)
  • Type B RCD (20mA AC, 6mA DC) already present in Prism Basic, so no need to install an additional type B differential
  • IP 54 degree of protection

Simplified management for condominiums

Multiple garages connected to a single meter can be managed with Prism Basic

When necessary, for example because multiple Prism Basic chargers are fed by a single meter, a Cluster control unit can be installed to report charging sessions and electricity consumption, broken down by each individual Prism Basic, for up to 50 interconnected columns.

note: Cluster control unit is sold as a separate accessory.

The electric mobility sector is booming

The electric vehicle sector is growing strongly and steadily, driven by incentives from European governments, production choices by automakers, and a changing market sentiment toward environmental sustainability.

data from Motus-E research

Establishments such as hotels, restaurants, agritourisms, workshops, sports centers, and generally any business at which customers stay for longer or shorter periods of time can offer a charging service, free or for a fee, to promote their business and offer a service to their customers.

The growing fleet of electric cars on the road naturally needs public charging points, but most motorists prefer to charge their electric car “at home” anyway, whenever they have the chance.

Energy efficiency interventions also include infrastructure for charging electric vehicles

What is the Superbonus?

The Superbonus is a benefit provided by the Relaunch Decree that raises to 110 percent the deduction rate for expenses incurred from July 1, 2020, to June 30, 2022, for specific interventions in the areas of energy efficiency, earthquake-resistant interventions, installation of photovoltaic systems or infrastructure for charging electric vehicles in buildings.
