The 1000A Sensor Set is a technical accessory intended exclusively for qualified installers. It’s the solution for Prism Solar cluster installations that require more robust measuring sensors: systems with more than 5 Prism units, or systems with large-diameter power cables that don’t fit the standard sensors.
Each Prism Solar is supplied with its own standard sensors, suited to cables up to 16 mm in diameter. When the installation involves larger cables — a common situation in industrial, condominium, or commercial systems with significant power loads — the standard sensors are not physically compatible. The 1000A sensors are split-core and accept cables up to 50 mm in diameter.
The package includes 3 units, needed for three-phase measurement at a single installation point.
This product is intended for qualified installers and technicians. Installation requires professional electrical expertise and must be carried out in compliance with applicable regulations (CEI 64-8, section 722). Do not attempt installation without the necessary qualifications.

When is the 1000A Sensor Set needed instead of the standard sensors?
The standard sensors included with each Prism Solar accept cables up to 16 mm in diameter. The 1000A sensors are needed in two cases: when the system has more than 5 Prism Solar units in a cluster (the total current flowing through the power cables exceeds the capacity of the standard sensors), or when the power cables in the electrical panel have a diameter greater than 16 mm (a common situation in commercial or industrial systems).
Why does the package contain 3 pieces?
A three-phase measurement requires one sensor on each of the three phases. The 3 pieces in the package cover a single three-phase measurement point, such as the main meter of a three-phase system.
Can these sensors be installed by a private individual?
No. Installing current sensors on the cables of the main electrical system is an operation that requires professional electrical expertise, compliance with CEI regulations, and access to the system with the panel open. It must be carried out by a qualified electrician.
Are they compatible with all Prism Solar models?
Yes. The 1000A sensors are compatible with all models in the Prism Solar range, including Prism Solar Single-phase, Three-phase, Twin Single-phase, and Twin Three-phase, and with Prism Solar S.

Important installation note
The 1000A Sensor Set is a technical component that must be installed on power cables inside the system’s electrical panel. This operation must be carried out exclusively by a qualified electrician or a certified installer.
No do-it-yourself installation procedure is provided for this product. Attempting installation without the necessary electrical expertise is dangerous and can cause damage to the system, the wallbox, and to people.
